About the destination

Nijmegen is a city and municipality of the Netherlands, located east of the country and very close to the German border. It is the largest city in Gelderland and is bounded on the north by the river Waal. Nijmegen is also considered the oldest in the Netherlands cities, so it has great beauty. However, you can also enjoy its more modern areas filled with restaurants and shops. The city has a large university environment and is a very popular destiny among young for Erasmus. Radboud University Nijmegen was founded in 1923. In the city there are two major festivals which are held simultaneously such as the Vierdaagse and Zomerfeesten, which are marches four days and are recognized internationally. The most representative and religious building in town is the Church of Stevenskerk Roman style and that was finished in Gothic style. It is certainly a city with a very positive and friendly atmosphere and is an ideal city to live in family.
