barcelona, spain
Day 1
barcelona, spain
Departure: 17:00

malaga, spain

Day 3
malaga, spain
Arrival: 08:00 - Departure: 18:00
Malaga, the birthplace of Picasso, exudes art from every brick. Considered one of the oldest cities in Spain and Europe, this cosmopolitan port is buoyantly modern yet it hangs on to its vast historic past. The palm-lined Paseo el Parque will take you below Alcazaba, a Moorish palace whose fortified walls enclose fragrant gardens and an archaeological museum. The lofty Gibralfaro Castle crowns a nearby hill, with outstanding views of the sprawling city below. Also worth a visit is the Picasso Museum that, aside from an impressive artistic patrimony, offers educational activities and cultural events. Málaga deserves a good night visit: do not miss a good walk along the harbour where traditional fried fish is washed down with cold beer at chiringuitos (beach bars) and enjoy the illuminated Alcazaba, which watches over the city from Mount Gibralfaro.

Day 4
tangier, morocco
Arrival: 08:00 - Departure: 18:00
Tangier, perched at the meeting point of the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, is one of Morocco’s most atmospheric gateways. Long a crossroads for traders, writers, and spies, the city blends North African tradition with European and Middle Eastern influences. Whitewashed houses climb the hills above the bay, palm trees line the avenues, and across the water you can glimpse the coast of Spain on a clear day. Start your visit in the old medina, a maze of narrow streets, blue-painted doors, and lively markets. Here you’ll find the Grand Socco, the bustling square that separates the medina from the modern city, and the Petit Socco, once the haunt of writers and artists. Climb to the Kasbah for panoramic views over the strait, then explore its quiet lanes, restored riads, and the Kasbah Museum, housed in a former sultan’s palace. Beyond the old town, Tangier’s modern side reveals wide boulevards, Belle Époque facades, and a long seafront promenade. Cafés like the historic Café Hafa, terraced above the cliffs, invite you to linger over mint tea while watching ferries come and go. Beachfront hotels, contemporary restaurants, and stylish bars make the city a comfortable base for both short stays and longer explorations. Tangier also serves as an ideal starting point for day trips. To the west, the dramatic Cap Spartel marks the official meeting of the seas, while the nearby Caves of Hercules combine myth and natural beauty. Inland, rolling hills give way to rural villages and forested landscapes. Whether you’re arriving from Europe or connecting to other Moroccan cities, Tangier offers a vivid introduction to the country’s culture, history, and coastal charm.

Day 5
almeria, spain
Arrival: 08:00 - Departure: 18:00
Almeria is a fairly modern city and port in the east of Andalucía. The city is dominated by the Alcazaba, built in the 11th century when Almeria was an independent kingdom, and one of the most commercially active and wealthiest districts in Spain. The city of Almeria is also a gateway for the natural reserve of Cabo de Gata, a volcano area with virgin beaches and isolated coves. The Alcazaba on the hill dominates the city and is the most important monument in Almería. The citadel once housed a palace and immense gardens. Little remains of the original Alcazaba, but the walls and towers have been beautifully reconstructed and are adorned with beautiful gardens, ornamented ponds and fountains which evoke the Muslim past of the place. The Alcazaba is entered through a watchtower that leads to the Puerta de la Justicia via some paved steps lined with a fine array of flora. From there, visitors will enjoy fantastic views over the city. Another point of interest is the city’s fortified cathedral, which was built in the 16th century. The Cathedral is located in the heart of the old part of the city and its architecture is a combination of Gothic and Renaissance styles. Almeria is a beautiful, chilled out city that mixes shopping centres and tapas bars with a medieval old town of narrow streets and tranquil squares.

valletta, malta
10
Day 14
valletta, malta
Arrival: 08:00 - Departure: 17:00
The tiny capital of Malta, the city measures less than 1 sq km, has a lot to offer visitors. Valletta has been described as one of the most concentrated historic areas in the world, thanks to its 7,000 years of history. No wonder, the City of Valletta was officially recognised as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1980. Built by the knight of St John in the 16th and 17th centuries for its military and strategic reasons, Valletta was later embellished into a fine example of baroque decorative art – most notably in the magnificent interiors of St John’s Co-Cathedral in the heart of the city. Shady atmospheric alleyways link grand squares, and glorious palazzi sit alongside bars and shop. Lately, the city has undergone some major changes to create a more vibrant urbanity, with the renovation of the main City Gate and the design of a new parliament building, as well as the renovation of the bombed-out Opera House. Valletta's natural deep water port, the Grand Harbour, is the biggest and the most impressive harbour in all the Mediterranean and was, for many thousands of years, the epicentre of Malta’s maritime activity. Proof of this are the 19 historical warehouses still stand dating back 250 years and the historic Quay Wall, where the Knights of St John and European merchants used to unload their wares. The Valletta Waterfront is also the gateway to Malta’s capital city. In fact, as one of the most successful Mediterranean ports, the Port of Valletta welcomes more than half-a-million cruise passengers into this open air museum. Recently, the waterfront has been revitalised into an attractive and vibrant gateway of shops, bars and restaurants. It’s particularly romantic at night when illuminated. There are tons of outdoor pursuits to enjoy thanks to the city’s moderate climate. From diving to sailing, cycling to rock climbing, there are a number of different adrenalin-busting options to satisfy adventurous holidaymakers. Just don't expect Valletta to be buzzing all night, its tranquility is a large part of its charm.
chania - crete - greece

Day 16
chania - crete - greece
Arrival: 08:00 - Departure: 17:00
Chania, on the northwest coast of Crete, combines Venetian elegance, Ottoman traces, and traditional Cretan life in a compact, walkable city. Its heart is the Old Town, a maze of narrow alleyways lined with pastel-colored mansions, flowering balconies, and small artisan shops. The picturesque Venetian Harbor, with its 16th‑century lighthouse and old arsenals, is the perfect place for a leisurely stroll at sunset, followed by dinner at a waterfront taverna. Beyond the harbor, Chania’s neighborhoods each offer a distinct atmosphere. The former Jewish quarter, Evraiki, is full of boutique hotels and quiet cafés, while Splantzia showcases a more local side with shaded squares, traditional kafeneia, and historic churches beside old mosques. Museums such as the Maritime Museum of Crete and the Archaeological Museum provide context for the island’s long and turbulent history, from Minoan times to World War II. Chania is also an excellent base for exploring some of Crete’s most striking landscapes. Day trips can take you to the pink‑tinged sands of Elafonisi, the dramatic gorge of Samaria, or the turquoise waters of Balos Lagoon. Closer to town, you’ll find a series of accessible beaches like Agii Apostoli and Marathi, where calm, shallow waters are ideal for families. Food is another highlight of any visit to Chania. Local tavernas showcase Cretan cuisine at its best: extra‑virgin olive oil, fresh seafood, wild greens, and cheeses like graviera and mizithra. Don’t miss dakos (Cretan barley rusk salad), slow‑cooked lamb, or a glass of raki shared with friendly locals. Whether you’re wandering the backstreets, relaxing by the sea, or setting off into the mountains, Chania offers a rich blend of culture, nature, and authentic island charm.

In the 1960s, Mykonos became a bohemian mecca and is now one of the glitziest holiday resorts in the country that happily flaunts its sizzling style and reputation. This central Cyclade was for years the premier Mediterranean resort for gay travellers, though recently Mykonos has tried to reinvent itself for a more varied clientele, though nightlife is still very gay-friendly, it is a paradise for any reveller with loud and long nights. Chora or Mykonos town is the main town on the island. It is filled with narrow, winding streets, whitewashed buildings with blue trim, nice restaurants, clothing and jewellery shops, a fish market and a vegetable market. It is one of the most cosmopolitan and crowded towns of the Aegean. Besides Chora, there is only one other town on the island, Ano Mera. Ano Mera is quiter and less touristy. While you are here, visit the Monastery of Panagia Tourliani, a traditional Greek Orthodox Church which has a beautiful iconostas. The island is dry and barren, but there are some fine, sandy beaches, the two most well-known being Paradise and Super Paradise, but there are many other beaches you can seek out around the island. From the charming port, catch a boat out to the beaches or out to Delos, and you will be travelling from the present into the ancient past, from one set of myths to another.
