About the destination

It is the highest mountain of the zone of Kaprun with 3,203 meters and the one in charge to maintain the personality of this place. It is considered the top of Salzburg, the region that hosts it. Thanks to this glacier, Zell am See has snow all year round and this is its main economic engine. Getting to this place is free if you have the Zell am See card, which you get for free if you stay in the area. You have to take 3 funiculars at a station 6km from Kaprun and it takes about half an hour from the city. Once upstairs you have magnificent views and you can also enjoy magnificent restaurants with spectacular views all along the way. It thus becomes a perfect blend of sports and culinary activities. In relation to the ski there are tracks for all levels of maximum quality each one of them. Very well connected with a series of lifts throughout the area. It is interesting to reach the highest area to enjoy the "top of Salzburg" with the superb views of the Hohe Tauern National Park. You can get there only to visit, without skiing.
