About the destination

Side is a resort town on Turkey’s southern Mediterranean coast. It is an ancient port city famous for its long beaches and Greco-Roman ruins. Some remains of the huge Antique Theater of the 2nd century still be seen in the center of the town. The white marble columns of the Hellenistic Temple of Athena stand near the harbor, along with many other important sites such as a restored Roman bath complex. It blends the ruins of the ancient city of Side which is one of the best classical sites in the country. It lies near Manavgat and the village of Selimiye.
