Belgrade: A lively capital at the confluence of the Danube and Sava rivers. Highlights include Kalemegdan Fortress and the elegant Knez Mihailova Street, showcasing the city’s layered history and vibrant atmosphere.

Sarajevo: Often called the “Jerusalem of the Balkans”, Sarajevo impresses with its multicultural heritage. Baščaršija Bazaar, mosques, churches, and Austro-Hungarian architecture reflect centuries of coexistence.

Mostar: Famous for the iconic Stari Most (Old Bridge), a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The old town’s Ottoman architecture and riverside setting create one of the most atmospheric cities in the region.

Dubrovnik: The legendary “Pearl of the Adriatic” with perfectly preserved medieval walls. The Stradun, Rector’s Palace, and historic old town make Dubrovnik one of the Mediterranean’s most impressive cities.

Budva: One of the Adriatic’s oldest towns, known for its Venetian walls and charming old town. A blend of historic character, coastal scenery, and lively atmosphere.

Kotor: A UNESCO World Heritage Site set beneath dramatic mountains. Medieval streets, Venetian palaces, and St Tryphon Cathedral highlight its rich maritime past.

Shkodra: A historic city between rivers and Lake Skadar. Rozafa Fortress offers sweeping views and a legendary tale deeply rooted in Albanian culture.

Tirana: A dynamic capital blending Ottoman heritage, communist-era landmarks, and modern development. Colourful streets and lively squares reflect its rapid transformation.

Ohrid: A UNESCO World Heritage Site on one of Europe’s oldest lakes. Renowned for its historic churches, old town, and stunning lakeside views.

Skopje: A city of contrasts where ancient history meets modern architecture. Highlights include the Old Bazaar, Kale Fortress, and Mother Teresa Memorial House.

Day 1: ARRIVAL BELGRADE

Upon arrival at Belgrade Airport, transfer to your hotel, and the rest of the day is free at leisure.

Day 2: BELGRADE – SARAJEVO (295km – 6hrs)

The day begins with a city tour of Belgrade, the vibrant capital of Serbia. Highlights include the imposing Kalemegdan Fortress, overlooking the confluence of the Danube and Sava rivers, as well as the elegant pedestrian street Knez Mihailova with its historic buildings, boutiques, and cafés. The tour also offers views of the old town with its squares, churches, and lively street scenes, reflecting the city’s cultural diversity. Afterwards, continue across the border into Bosnia and Herzegovina to Sarajevo.

Day 3: SARAJEVO – MOSTAR – NEUM (175km – 4hrs)

A comprehensive city tour reveals Sarajevo’s diversity, often called the “Jerusalem of the Balkans.” Highlights include the oriental Baščaršija bazaar, the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque, the Catholic Cathedral, and reminders of the city’s recent history. Continue to Mostar, one of the most fascinating cities in the Balkans. The city tour showcases its unique blend of Oriental and Central European heritage. The famous Stari Most (Old Bridge), is the centrepiece of the city, elegantly spanning the Neretva River and symbolizing reconciliation. The surrounding Ottoman architecture, bazaars, and mosques create a unique atmosphere. In the late afternoon, drive to Neum, Bosnia and Herzegovina’s only coastal town.

Day 4: NEUM – DUBROVNIK – BUDVA (200km – 5hrs)

Today’s highlight is Dubrovnik, the legendary “Pearl of the Adriatic.” After a scenic drive along the coast and crossing into Croatia, the stunning old town appears in bright white and ochre tones, surrounded by massive city walls and the deep blue sea. A guided tour of about two hours includes the cathedral, the Rector’s Palace, elegant palaces along the Stradun, and the impressive city walls, making Dubrovnik one of the best-preserved medieval cities in the Mediterranean. Free time follows before continuing to Budva in Montenegro.

Day 5: BUDVA – TIVAT – KOTOR – BUDVA (90km – 3hrs)

Morning walk in Budva, one of the oldest settlements on the Adriatic coast, known for its Venetian walls and narrow streets. Continue to Tivat, a stylish marina town with Porto Montenegro, a modern luxury yacht harbour and international meeting point. In the afternoon, visit Kotor, a UNESCO World Heritage Site surrounded by mountains and medieval walls. The guided tour includes Venetian palaces, St. Tryphon Cathedral, and the charming old town streets. Free time for coffee or a walk along the walls before returning to Budva.

Day 6: BUDVA – STARI BAR – SHKODRA – KRUJA – TIRANA (210km – 5hrs)

Visit Stari Bar, an ancient ruin town in Montenegro surrounded by olive trees and stone remains. Cross into Albania and continue to Shkodra, located between rivers and Lake Skadar. Visit Rozafa Fortress with panoramic views and its famous legend. Continue to Kruja, the historic town of national hero Skanderbeg, featuring a fortress, bazaar, and traditional Ottoman-era atmosphere. Arrival in Tirana in the evening.

Day 7: TIRANA - OHRID (130km – 3.5hrs)

Morning city tour of Tirana, a dynamic capital combining Ottoman heritage, communist-era architecture, and modern development. Continue along the ancient Via Egnatia route to Ohrid in North Macedonia, located on one of Europe’s oldest and deepest lakes (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Enjoy a short boat ride (approx. 20 minutes) on Lake Ohrid. Explore the historic old town with beautiful views over the lake.

Day 8: OHRID – TETOVO - SKOPJE (180km – 4hrs)

Drive through Mavrovo National Park, known for its mountains, forests, and lakes. Stop in Tetovo to visit the unique Painted Mosque, richly decorated with colourful floral and geometric patterns. Arrival in Skopje, followed by a city tour showcasing contrasts between old and new: the Kale Fortress, the Old Bazaar with its traditional crafts, mosques, and caravanserais, as well as the modern city centre with Macedonia Square with its famous equestrian monument and the Mother Teresa Memorial House. In the evening, traditional Macedonian dinner with live music.

Day 9: SKOPJE – NIŠ – BELGRADE (430km –7hrs)

Departure from North Macedonia and return to Serbia. Stop in Niš, one of the oldest cities in the Balkans, with free time. Continue to Belgrade.

Day 10: DEPARTURE BELGRADE

Enjoy your last breakfast at the hotel and at the agreed time transfer to Belgrade Airport for your return flight.

Pack comfortable walking shoes, as the tour includes city sightseeing and walks in national parks. Bring light, breathable clothing for warm days and a light jacket for cooler evenings or boat trips. Sun protection such as a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen is essential. A small day backpack, refillable water bottle, and camera are recommended, along with swimwear for coastal stops. Don’t forget personal medication, travel documents, and some cash for personal expenses.
